& director
I’ve got to unspool my life quite a long way back to identify any moment I wasn’t accompanied by a camera. From a very young age I always wanted one. I’d ask my dad to get me one and he’d say: “learn to use one and I’ll get you one”. I never know if that was meant as a challenge but I took it up as such and, aged 15 started looking into videography and photography. My first camera was a VHS Compact, and thus began my polyamorous relationship with cinema and photography.
Always; since my adolescence in Buenos Aires, followed by time spent living in Cuzco, New York, Tel Aviv and Mexico City, if I wasn’t shooting from my handheld, I kept it in my backpack. Interestingly, I feel that my camera helped me retain something from each person I met, or each place I visited, and conversely leave them something as well.
I’m a full-time advertising director and photographer; I work with brands, agencies and production companies. I like to vary my approach, and intersect between different geographic locations and aesthetics. I specialise in the food and beauty industries. Recently I’ve developed content in video and photo for Mac Cosmetics, Heineken and Cheetos, amongst others.
A year ago I co-founded Wachin.tv, an experimental content hub for a world that blurs nuance, tone and medium in ever-more challenging ways. Teaming up with programmers, animators and creatives we produce contemporary audiovisual content for the whole continent.
